🗝️SUNDAY SNEAK PEEK - April 27, 2025
Your key to Calgary's headliners, hot spots, & hidden gems.
Hi friends,
Last week I asked you what type of events you wanted to see more of and you said WEIRD ones! So I hope you like my choices in this week’s picks. 😏 Definitely some gems!
Also, last week I mentioned the opening of the Fancy Induced Burger where you can win a free car, it was supposed to be April 26th, but they’ve been delayed so now the grand opening is set for May 17 if you wanna get your free burger and chance at winning a car!
I’m excited for May and for Beerfest this weekend! (also make sure you enter to win VIP beerfest tix here)

💐 FIRST DAY OF MAY! While I know that spring technically starts in March, we all know that March and April are essentially extended winter. It’s not until May that you can finally put away your vehicle snow-scrapper and pack away your thick winter jacket. NOW IS THE TIME! HIT ME WITH THAT SUNSHINE ☀️
📚 RESET SOCIETY BOOK SALE: Check out this massive second hand book sale fundraiser. Over 100,000 books!!

🌮 TEQUILA & TAQUITOS: Can’t go wrong with this combo on at a sit down tasting event at Willow Park Wines
📝Canadian Administrative Professionals Summit: An educational event for admins
🍕 LA PIZZA WEEK: Pizza places around the city participate in this celebration of pizza. I believe this event is ran by people in Montreal and they try to get Calgary restaurants to sign up and it’s generally poorly done. Not many restaurants join and it’s poorly communicated what they’re doing. But we’ll see, maybe this year will be different?! It’s no Mac & Cheese fest that’s for sure 😉
Friday
🛍️ MARKET COLLECTIVE: Big market on at the BMO centre from May 2-4
💎 ROCK & MINERAL SHOW: Get yo’ rocks and minerals folks. I’ll fully admit I’ve never been to one of these, its on my bucketlist to see what they’re all about! On all weekend May 2-4

I recently signed up for JotForm! If you just need simple survey software I’d recommend Google Forms to get by with, but if you want more capabilities, JotForm is truly a million times better.

⚠Accuracy: I do this newsletter alone and inevitably it will feature a typo or two (or I might have got my details mixed up, I am just a frequently hungover person after all). Furthermore, event details can change at the organizer’s whim, please double check before you head out anywhere. That said, I think this is 99.9% accurate! I try my best!
🫥 Full Transparency: Sometimes I include events within this newsletter that have paid for sponsored posts on my social media. Some links may be affiliate (very rarely, but sometimes) which means I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Or I may refer to a hosted media event or gifted food.
