🗝️SUNDAY SNEAK PEEK - Dec 21, 2025
Your key to Calgary's headliners and hot gossip
Hi friends,
Happy Winter Solstice! Welcome to the shortest day (and longest night) of the year. Good news is, we start getting more light from here on out.
And of course, Merry Christmas! This week there are understandably fewer events with the holidays smack in the middle. Sunday seems to be when things pick up again before we head into the New Year.

CALGARY PHIL & HIGH PERFORMANCE RODEO
If you don’t know what High Performance Rodeo is, well you must be new here! No, it’s not a rodeo, but it is wild, eccentric and sometimes even experimental theatre festival that happens each year in January. It’s something fun and different to entertain us in the most frozen weeks of the year.
Calgary Philharmonic is involved in 2 shows that are part of the festival in 2026. “It Takes Two: A Symphonic Collaboration” (Jan 23-24) at Jack Singer. And “Vivek Shraya: One Night Only” Jan 30 at Jack Singer.
