🗝️SUNDAY SNEAK PEEK - Mar 22, 2026

Your key to Calgary's headliners and hot gossip

Hi friends,

The seasons have officially changed from Winter to Spring and I am feeling VERY good about it. The days are also feeling a lot longer!

SPRING REPTILE EXPO

push GIF

Catch the Western Canadian Reptile Expo April 18-19. I’ve been before and it really has all kinds of reptiles from the massive show stoppers to the teeny tiny and dare I say adorable?! If you’re someone who is squeamish just know that I am too and I still managed to have a great time. (I just stayed away from the spider section 😬).

Use ASPG9YGY for 15% off regular admission. To use put in however many tickets you want, click “get tickets”, a screen will pop-up with optional attendee info, click “checkout now” button. At the top of the page will be a bright green stripe that says “Have a coupon?” Enter the code, click “apply coupon”, and it’ll update your cart on the right side of the screen.

3 EVENTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO! 🤩

Wow GIF

Plug it in your calendar and invite your friends!

  1. FS8 Pilates & Yoga is having a grand opening celebration in Marda Loop on Saturday March 28 from 1pm-3pm. The first 100 guests will get a swag bag, and a complimentary class.

  2. Murders are back at Heritage Park! Shocking, right?! Feels like they just had a set of murder dinners, but if you missed them this set goes from April 10-May 30. It’s called Death on the Dancefloor and tickets are $120 each.

  3. The Stampede is putting on something new and exciting for the first time this year. Mark June 13 on your calendar for the First Nations Rodeo & Relay. This is right where the stampede rodeo usually is (GMC stadium) so it’s essentially a mini-stampede a month early. Pre-sale tickets are on now and tickets to the general public go on sale Monday at 10am.

DID YOU HEAR!? 😮

Heard around the water cooler this week. 👂

  • Super Crunch Tanghulu is now open in Market Mall. If you’ve ever wanted to try this crunchy sweet Japanese treat, now is your chance! It’s buy one, get one for their grand opening celebration Sat March 28.

  • Calgary Stampede has set out a 20 year master plan for Stampede Park and the surrounding area. After a skim of the article, the highlights are that there will be 7 different theme areas, an an overall focus on being a full “entertainment district” and they plan to get rid of the Big Four building and Saddledome to build new entertainment spaces there. (I don’t think these are big surprises.)

  • Mark February 2028 on your calendar for the World Cup of Hockey as Calgary & Edmonton jointly won the bid to host this massive event. Pretty cool and should be a big economic driver for the province.

  • Chocoberry has been teasing about opening a location in Calgary for OVER A YEAR!!😲 And they are finally here. This one is pretty hyped up, I can’t say I’ve tried this dessert shop that is based out of the UK, but I’m going in with high expectations.

  • I did not need extra motivation to buy Made by Marcus Mini Egg ice cream, but for some miracle reason, they are offering the chance to win free ice cream for a year to everyone who buys a pint of this delicious limited time batch. There are 5 golden stickers hidden under the lids of pints. If your pint happens to have it, you’re a big winner!

  • Nelly Furtado is The National Music Centre’s newest inductee! See her exhibit at Studio Bell starting March 25.
