Looking for things to do in Calgary this week? Here’s a curated list of the best events, festivals, live music, and activities happening May 25-31, 2026. Whether you’re looking for free events or something new to try, there’s something here for everyone.
MONDAY
🎨 INGLEWOODIY FESTIVAL: It’s the festival of experiencing new forms of creativity. Try your hand at a variety of activities from different shops and businesses in Inglewood. On until May 31. (prices vary)
TUESDAY
🎭 OPENING NIGHT COME FROM AWAY: This is Theatre Calgary’s last show of the 2025/26 season. It’s here until June 21. ($102+)
WEDNESDAY
🌙 UNIVERSITY DISTRICT NIGHT MARKET: It’s the first night market of the season for University District. (Free entry!)
THURSDAY
🏀 OPENING NIGHT FOR THE CALGARY SURGE: Support our local basketball team as they start the season off at WinSport Event Centre. ($34+)
🎤 26TH ANNUAL FUNNYFEST COMEDY FESTIVAL: Support local comedy with this volunteer run festival running from May 28- June 7. ($25 for opening night, prices vary for other shows)
🦞 ALEXANDER KEITH’S LOBSTER BOIL: It’s Rodney’s Oyster House annual maritime lobster boil! Purchase a $20 deposit on eventbrite to hold your reso. ($125)
FRIDAY
⚾ OPENING NIGHT FOR THE OKOTOKS DAWGS: Get all the summer time feels at a local baseball game. ($15+)
💍 WEDDING FOR NO ONE: Want to attend a wedding but go no invites? Well Fonda Fora is throwing a wedding with everything but a bride and groom. Get dressed up, eat good, drink up, and dance the night away (and no need to bring a gift!) ($99)
🌙 CURRIE NIGHT MARKET: There are only 2 night markets a year at Currie. (And the next is in September!) (Free)
SATURDAY

✨ SPECTRA: This one-night only EDM show also has a mix of aerial arts and cabaret for a Vegas-style night out at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. ($51)
🛼 90S NIGHT AT ROLLER PALACE: Head to Roller Palace for 90s music and 90s outfits. (6-10pm) ($19)
🌙 GARAM GLOW NIGHT MARKET: A market that doesn’t charge vendors fees and instead vendors give 20% of profits to charity. (free entry)
SUNDAY
🥂 PASSIONFRUIT BRUNCH: Brunch from12-2pm on Charbar rooftop and party from 2-6pm. Includes a Caesar bar! ($55)
🎪 CIRCUS: Last day to catch the Royal Canadian Circus at CrossIron Mills. ($35+)

📚 Reading in the Wild is back on June 23. This is a free event at Memorial Park as part of Wordfest.
🎙️ The Laugh Shop just made some big comedian announcements including: Dan Soder, Ryan Long, and Mark Normand.
🦖 The science centre just announced a new T-Rex exhibit opening June 27. The exhibit is free with your admission.
