šļøSUNDAY SNEAK PEEK - JAN 27, 2025
Your key to Calgary's headliners, hot spots, & hidden gems.
Hi friends,
Whoo hoo! Guess what?! We officially made it through January. Sometimes I get depressed in January, but I think I was too busy this month to slow down to take time to be depressed haha. It felt like any other month. Except I still have my Christmas tree up. Should prob take that down soon, maybe.
What fun things are you looking forward to this week? š¤

š§ CALGARY MAC & CHEESE FESTIVAL š§
I misjudged how crazy popular this festival would be. It has been so well received! My phone has been blowing up with notifications all week ā I canāt keep with how many people are tagging the festival!
This is the last week of the festival, it runs until Friday!
After Friday the voting closes and weāll tally the results. Iāve been peeking and let me tell you it is CLOSE. So every vote definitely counts. Also, majority of ratings are very high ā there are no bad mac & cheeses according to the votes that have come in.
After Friday, you may, or may not, be able to still get the mac & cheeses listed, but itāll be up to the discretion of the restaurants.
We made up the Calgary Mac & Cheese Challenge where we are trying to see if anyone out there is daring enough to try to eat all 15 before the festival ends?! It is physically possible, but it will take a committed person to do so! Iāve only had 5 so far and I think Kelsey has had 6 and we are working on trying a few more.
We did our segment on CityNews last Sunday and tomorrow we were invited to be on CTV news in the early morning. I donāt know if weāre on air then or if it airs later. Guess Iāll find out. Hope I donāt say anything stupid.
Thank YOU again for spreading the word about the inaugural Calgary Mac & Cheese Fest! Sit back and enjoy the last week of this cozy winter festival that you helped make happen! š„°

Horizons of Khufu is a virtual reality experience on now at Chinook Mall. It takes you back to ancient Egypt and you get to explore a pyramid. I thought it was great, and I have paid more for shorter/lesser VR experiences so in my opinion it is worth it.
The Motorcycle and PowerSports show is on Jan 31-Feb 2 and has something for everyone! It looks really cool. While I was filming for it, it made me legitimately excited for the show!
Shell Car Wash is a nifty place to wash your car on heritage drive.
