Welcome to another long weekend edition! Here’s your weekend sneak peek! 👀
This weekend I planned a surprise birthday for my friend so we’re going for dinner at Japanese Village and then I booked a room for Karaoke. I can’t wait. (I won’t sing, but I will fully be an enthusiastic back-up dancer.) I also have my fantasy football draft. I am excited to lose another $20 this year.

FRESHLY OPENED
Chai Sutta Bar - Their second Calgary location just opened Aug 16 in Saddlepeace NE. I have yet to visit this international chain but apparently it is very popular. Their menu includes, chai, lattes, frapps, shakes, smoothies, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, maggi, paratha, salads, kulhad pizza, fries, sliders, desserts and actually a bunch more. (That’s a large menu if I ever seen one!)
JUST ANNOUNCED (Stay subscribed and I’ll be sure to tell you when they open)
The Fancy Induced Burger - They just opened their first Calgary location on 17th ave in May, and I am surprised that they are opening a second location already. Bold of them! I have not tried their burgers, but they are known for injecting them with hot melted cheese (yes you read that right, cheese injection!)
State & Main - Will be adding another Calgary location on Sept 1 in Uxborough Place NW. They have 2 happy hours daily and if you sign up for their newsletter you can get free pretzel bites.
Chocoberry - Which is apparently huge in the UK (who knew? I didn’t) is opening their first Calgary location. When are they opening? I don’t know. But their instagram does say where, it’ll be in the middle of Kensington. They serve up brunch and desserts.
Many of these are over at the end of the month - last chance!
