⭐WEEKEND KICKOFF⭐

Weekend events, new restaurant openings & fresh discounts

Hi friends,

Ya’ll loved my long weekend edition, so I figured I’d do another send out and see if people were into it for a regular weekend.

Personally, in terms of this weekend’s events, I’d love to go to Carifest or the Summer Skirmish, but we’ll see if I make it. I always have big plans and then get distracted and have little follow through. 😅

THIS WEEK’S NEW RESTAURANT OPENINGS 🍽️

Fresh inspo for your next restaurant club meet-up or date night out!

FRESHLY OPENED

  • 🍺 Kampus Brewing - Before you get too excited, no Calgary doesn’t have a new brewery. This is just the Kilkenny rebranded. The “Kampus” name makes sense to attract students, not sure about the “brewing” part? As far as I know, they don’t brew beer. (let me know if I’m incorrect on that, I’m just assuming)

JUST ANNOUNCED (Stay subscribed and I’ll be sure to tell you when they open)

  • 🍗 Wing Stop - everyone is talking about this American chain known for its wings, chicken tenders, and dipping sauces. While we don’t know when it’s opening, we do know where! It’ll be in Deerfoot Meadows.

  • 🍣 Hello Nori - this chain of restaurants claim to be Canada’s first premier hand roll bar, I don’t know if that is true as Calgary’s had Japanese Hand Roll Bar for a few years now and they are excellent. Guess we’ll find out if Hello Nori is as good!

  • 🧁 Cece’s Coffee - I found this interesting as Crave cupcakes is expanding into the cafe business. It does sort of make sense seeing as they’re a bakery. Turns out they already have a Kelowna location (who knew?) and are now opening a Hillhurst cafe (that serves cupcakes too obvi!). Side story: My fave Crave cupcake flavour was always the blue/green one with the mint icing - at every corporate meeting that’d be the one I’d go for first before anyone would grab it. It’s been sooooo long though, I wonder if I could still say that it’d be my fave flavour.

  • 🥛Holy Shakes - Already open in Cityscape, Holy Shakes is opening a 2nd Calgary location in Sage Hill. Expect over 100 over-the-top milkshake flavours.
